YEREVAN, May 29 – RIA Dagestan. Russia's national team, under head coach Murad Abdullaev, emerged as the overall champion at the European Grappling Championship held in Yerevan.
Fighters from Dagestan's martial arts school made a notable impact, claiming three of Russia's eight gold medals. European championship golds were captured by Ruslan Radzhabkhanov (up to 62 kg), Shamil Guseinov (up to 71 kg) and Bilal Kurbabagamaev (up to 130 kg).
Dagestan's Davud Magomedov also reached the podium, winning silver in the up to 84 kg weight class.
