MAKHACHKALA, March 10 – RIA "Dagestan". A new season of the All-Russian military-patriotic game "Zarnitsa 2.0" has launched in Dagestan, with 54,000 participants already registered this year. Over the past two years, total participation has reached 130,000 young people aged 7 to 23. Teams of 10 compete across four age categories through multiple stages—from qualifying rounds to the final scheduled for September.
Organized by the regional branches of the Movement of the First "Yunarmiya" and the Youth Affairs Ministry of the Republic of Dagestan, the competition features team events in firearms training, first aid, military-style obstacle courses, tactical medicine, survival skills in extreme conditions, field engineering and a firefighting relay race.
According to Youth Affairs Minister Kamil Saidov, the project promotes a healthy lifestyle, preparation for military service, and the comprehensive development of youth. Rashid Abdullaev, Deputy Chairman of the regional Movement of the First branch, emphasized the crucial role of mentors—particularly life safety and physical education teachers—in team preparation.
