MAKHACHKALA, March 4 – RIA "Dagestan". A multimedia exhibition titled "Generation of Heroes" has opened at the "Russia – My History" historical park in Makhachkala. The opening ceremony was attended by the Head of Dagestan Sergei Melikov, along with family members of the Heroes of Russia, members of the Yunarmiya youth organization and cadets.
The exhibition was developed by the "Altair" center with grant funding provided by the regional governor. It comprises several sections covering events prior to the start of the special military operation, developments in 2014 related to Crimea and information about military personnel from Dagestan serving in the operation zone. A separate section "Memory" features a photo gallery of the local residents who lost their lives during military service. Materials on display include letters and artifacts provided by military personnel.
Melikov referenced the exhibition's focus on individual biographies and noted that 19 residents of Dagestan have been awarded the title Hero of Russia. The exhibition is scheduled to run till the end of May with no admission fee.
